ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Strut and Coilovers

What would be a cheap but effective setup that uses coilovers and a strut like which brands. This is DD car but no racing involved simply driving around but want the car to sit nice on 17in rims i recently bought thank you

Function and Form Type 1's are only $600. That's a killer bang for your buck deal.

As for independant coilover sleeves and struts:

    Sleeves:
    Ground Control
    Megan Racing
    Skunk2

... and I wouldn't really trust anything else, but there are cheaper alternatives.

    Struts:
    Koni Yellows
    Tokico Illuminas

... anything else will likely blow.

Safe coilover sleeves aren't cheap. The only ones I would trust are Ground Control. Most others are crappy quality with really stiff springs, and they arent safe.

The cheapest shocks you should get are Koni STR.T. If you want to slam it, then you should use Koni Yellows instead. Stay away from kyb or tokico. They don't have anything that will be safe with coilovers.

Another option is to get some function and form autolife full coilovers.

My car came with neuspeed racing springs, and tokico blue rears/kyb agx fronts. was actually an extremely nice ride, and a fairly moderate drop.

for coilovers both Form&Function and Megan have good budget options in the F&F Type ones and the Megan Easy Streets. a full set of those will run you in the neighborhood 6-700$ shipped.

Im running Megan easy streets, ride great, easy to adjust, get fairly low, and have been a great product thus far.

Neither blues nor agx are made for the drop or spring rate given by neuspeed race springs.

i didnt say they were, all i said is that my car came with them on, and that they rode nice? sorry if i hurt your feelings.

i unfortunately am not familiar with them any further than that they came on my car. rode nice for 3 weeks, then came off and got sold locally, and the guy that bought them loves them as well.

You have to search. I can't tell you how many threads I've seen on this in the past week.

for the money i would definatly buy the function and form coil overs, any decent set up you put together will cost just as much if not more
