ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

I agree with the painting route. It lasts longer. Here try this stuff:

pop the door trims off, clean 'em, spray them with some plastic primer, then go over it with this stuff.90 LX, 270,XXX miles strong!

i work as a bodyman in a BWM dealer and we use SEM trim black rattle can-paints for these kind of job...takes 5 min to do, last very long...in fact i am a rattle-can paint hater but SEM products are ''for professional use only'' and i must say their stuff always works great! especially for little things like this
so imo shooting a mist of trim black spray paint is your best way to do it because it looks OEM , last long, and is easy to re-do..if ever needed....i did it on the bumper trim when i bought my accord 4 years ago...its still perfect i cleaned and sanded with a 3M ultra fine sponge (800 grid +-) took me about 10min to do..i didnt even paint the whole molding, i ''blended'' it and it doesnt show at all...
you could also use detailling products such as vynile and rubber care from mcguiars and such but its not a permanent fix, its something you will need to re-do every week or so...
the heat gun technique may also work has the heat will make the petroleum wanna bleed out of the plastic and create a glossy look...but if your are not carefull you could melt the molding or create an un-even gloss...plus im not sure this will last forever....but anyways..who wants shiny door moldings..they come flat black OEM so just put the damn trim black paint on them
