ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

How much do OEM wheels weigh

    Hi,
I'm just wondering, how much do the OEM ex wheels with the center caps weigh? And what are they made out of? i want to get new wheels for my car but if the oems are lightweight and somewhat durable then i guess there is no need because i like the way they look and want to make my car a sleeper some day and keep the same wheels. If they are too heavy, What wheels still give off a low profile look and are still relatively lightweight?
I'm poor and still in high school.

Not sure what they weigh but they are made out of aluminum. Why do you want light weight wheels? Judging by your name you are going for gas mileage?

lol my name is kinda a joke, but i want to make an h22 swapped cb7 in my future, but i want it to look stock, but have some weight saving additions. personally I like lightweight cars over fully loaded turbo packing cars.
Of course this is just a start.

really? that would be cool if you did. I always wondered if they were light enough to substitute for some other cheap rims like rotas.

            you mentioned weight and durability.

im not an expert on wheels and cant help you with the weight part, but i personally dont think you can get something more durable than the oem wheels.

my brothers automechanics teacher used to say that the company, in this case honda, has paid a team of engineers thousands upon thousands of dollars to design a car and its components.
and then some teen dumbass comes and fucks it all up.

take that into consideration for your wheels

well in that case I'm keeping my wheels on. I know the cb7 isin't the prettiest car in the world, so i'm not to exited on looks. I'm more concentrated on learning about it still than looks, so thats why i wanted to know about them.

I have my stock ex wheels with center caps no tires sitting in the garage. I will weigh them tomorrow, unless someone beats me to it.

                          Ya I love it to.

Ok I used a analog scale.. It weighed 17-18 pds.

                          15in,9091, 17slot ex wheel.

It didn't even make it to 20 pds! I think that's pretty good.

I wonder wat my 14x5.5 wheel will weigh.

                              Our pattern is 4x114.5

That's the rite Spec I believe.

When you look for a wheel most will say, 4x114..

A lot of new cb owners think they can swap civic wheels and teggy wheels. You can't. Their pattern is 4x100.

                              To small for us.
