ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

New Wheels. What kind are they?

Just picked up some 17" rims w/ tires for the cb7. Im not sure what kind of rims they are. It has a AEWC stamping on one of the back spokes so I think there American Eagle Alloys but couldnt find wheel on there website. So can anyone identify these wheels? I was also wondering if they came with center caps and if so where could I get them. The tires that are on the rims are Ling Long tires . WTF are Ling Longs? There basically brand new but ive never even heard of them. Im in the process now of sanding them down and im gonna paint them. Here are some pics of the rims when I got them. Thanks.

Ling long is a First price brand, If you cruise like my grand-ma who doesn't drive you can keep it, but otherway change it please! No adherence on wet road, correct on dry. Many friends had accidents because of this tires.

In Need of an engine, just a basic f22a...pm me if you have one willing to part with.

Made In USA, AEWC DOT T, 105 17x7, two spokes are max weight and pressure, one spoke is blank, and one spoke as a 3 in some boxes.

It sounds like these tires are JUNK! No wonder ive never heard of them. What do you think the max size tire I can fit on this rim. They are 205/40zr17 now.

It's hard to tell what those rims are. They aren't a common design, so they may be original, rather than one of the MANY knockoff brands you see around. That could be a good thing. Made in USA definitely narrows it down, because MANY popular brands are made in Asia or Europe.

Ling Long tires are absolute garbage. They were tested in Car and Driver magazine a couple years ago, and the review was laughable. Even against the cheapest offerings from quality brands, it was like a competition between a moped and a Hyabusa. I wouldn't feel safe with those tires! I say pull em off, get the wheels powder coated, and get some real tires on there.

Also, a 205/45/17 tire will save your rims. I dented the shit out of my wheels when I had a 40 aspect ratio. Never again!

googled "aewc dot made in the usa" and came up with a tread in a jeep forum... in one of the post the OP stated

So, I called American Eagle Wheel to try to confirm it. They said, "No, it ain't our wheel." They said all of their wheels are stamped AEWC on the inside of one of the spokes.
So if you take his word that thats what the company told him on the phone ... you have an american eagle wheel, which isn't a bad name brand of wheel...

here is the post if you care to investigate:

I searched for discontinued American Eagle models, and found nothing that looked similar. Not that I found every model, I'm sure...
