ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

      No.

Cut out the metal and weld in a patch panel. Then repaint it properly, covering all exposed metal.

Bring it to a reputable body shop...

That would be the best advice. The most expensive, but the only way to guarantee the best results.

estimating, how much would it cost?

Somewhere between $100 and $3,000. For a more detailed estimate, you'd need to take your car to a body shop and have them look at it in person.

Damn Deev, thats a bit excessive isn't it? Considering that if the pic accurately depicts the size of the problem it shouldn't be much to solve, I know your just preparing him but damn man give a guy a small ray of hope. Lol, then again maybe thats just me asking for hope since his rust issue is quite small in regaurds to my own death star sized rust problem. cry:

There is absolutely no way to give a good estimate for rust repair from a single picture on a computer, especially from somebody who does not do bodywork for a living. The OP needs to go to a shop, not an online forum.

I follow what you said and I know what you mean but notice I said "if "it accurately depictes the state of the car. Yes it may be one pic on the net but my statement leaves opening for it could be what we see or worse and that's all I was trying to point out. So while your statement is right, mine was just geared toward deev's experience and what his thoughts were. Im sure at some point you guys have had to get some repair work done right?

thx guys, i end up not cutting it out and wielding a metal sheet, i just grind all the rust out then got some spray that prevents rust from coming back.
