ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Wheels-Offset

How do i determine the right offset for wheels?

you dont determine the offset for a set of wheels unless your piecing together multiple piece wheels with different barrels.

if you want to figure out what offset to look for when buying a new set of wheels, find out what size wheel your looking at, a figure out how much back spacing you want. use stock wheels as a basis to figure out what your looking for.

or, do it the easy way, and look at members ride threads and figure out what kind of look you want. then ask for the wheel/tire specs and find something comparable.

What kind of look are you going for? My suggestion would be to check out rimtuck.com.

Or, like what Flatline said, use your stock wheels as a base to figure out the offsets and sizing you want. You can also play around with different sized spacers first to help you out. This is exactly what I had done with the BMW

        On my BMW:

17x9 ET +9 all around w/ 215/40/17 Falken FK452s (One of the best tires to stretch)...you can also see the set of spacers I used with my stock wheels to determine the right offsets.

off topic, but your ass better be posting more pics of that beamer....

but seriously, find out what look you want before anything. that'll get you the closest. then its trail and error for camber settings, ride height, and tire/rim size/stretch and so on.

there are different grades and levels of "Flush". unless you literally mean flush at which point you want the rim edge to line up with the fender almost perfectly.

either way, find some numbers that get the look you want. then search for similar wheel stats. Its really not very hard.

Well it might not be hard but it sure was easy to buy the wrong kind my first time around haha.
