ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Rota torque's

I'm about to pick up some rota torques of local craigs. 3 for a hundred, and then just get the fourth one for like 120, making a full set for less than 250 isnt bad. just wondering what size tires i should look for.

my car is lowered on f&f type 1's and right now i have stock wheels and i get horrible rubbing. im thinking about getting my fenders rolled as well..

    any input? thanks all.

What size are these wheels? 13"? 22"? That would help when picking a tire!
Your best bet is to get the specs of the wheel, and go to one of the major tire sites. Look up a wheel with the same size, and see what the site suggests for a tire size. They will most likely give you two different aspect ratios... for example, 215/40/17 and 215/45/17... the middle number is the aspect ratio (which is like the height of the tire.) Personally, I would go with the higher number. It gives you a bit more tire, and protects your wheels from potholes and such. Rotas aren't exactly the strongest wheels made, so extra protection is good!

i have Motegi Mr7s with 205/40/17s tires. Super sticky, love the low profile, no rubbing but my camber is set to 1.5degree i believe. 2.1inch lowered front.

The sizes I listed in my example would be ideal, then. I would go with 215/45/17. It's a nice beefy tire.

Just make sure you're getting a compatible offset... if the offset is wrong, you're going to have severe rubbing issues. I would stick to an offset between +38 and +42.

i have a .43 offset on my new rims and when i hit dips my quarters just sit on top of the tires.. not cutting but still going to roll my fenders/quarters.. but im also on 15's..17's with a offset? your going to have to tuck nicely wouldnt you?

The higher the offset, the closer the tire is to the inside. Low offset would push it closer to the fender.

If you rub with OEM wheels, you will rub a lot worse with aftermarket wheels, especially at 7.5" width.

You'll need to roll and maybe pull to clear. Or you could just raise the car up until you don't rub.
