I have the PIAA star whites in my Odyssey and Accord. I got them for about $35 shipped on eBay, and love them. I had the silverstars before and they burnt out after a year. The star whites are better imo.

ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

I guess you could say I lost some brightness but on the road they are amazing, and they light up street signs and highway signs very well, albeit with a pinkish hue.Being normal is probably the lamest thing you can try to be

You can either go with the Silverstar Ultras which you can get from Wal mart for 40 bucks(pair), or use that 40 bucks and get an HID kit. Now, although our headlight assemblies aren't really made for HIDs (they'll fit normal), since the HID bulb is longer and is somewhat outside of the reflector, they can be made to work semi-decent. When I put my 10k's in (very blue, but better output then normal bulbs), people around my area didn't hesitate to high beam me since they were blinding. I adjusted my headlights down just a tad, where more light was on the road, and never got high beamed again.
Want brighter? HIDs are the way to go. Otherwise, you're gonna waste your money. 40 dollars for silverstar ultras that will be a little brighter than regular silverstars.. vs 40 dollars for 35w 4300k HIDs that will be MUCH brighter.. your choice. Installing HIDs is about as difficult as checking your oil level. Cake.Last edited by Gotz Cb7; 02-22-2011, 07:37 PM.98' Mustang 3V Swap

I think it has pretty much been determined, but I thought I would also say don't waste your money on the silverstar ultras. $50 and they barely last a year (my dad had them). I had the regular silverstars and they were an improvement over OEM. I now have PIAA 4100K bulbs and they are better than the silverstars IMO ($40 on amazon). I'm curious to know if anyone runs HELLA lights. One of my buddies swears by them. They are also more affordable.

If you look at the one I am looking at compared to a standard bulb, the bulb life is reduced from 500 hours to 350 hours, but the lumen output on the low beam side increases from 1,000 lumens to 1,150 lumens. They are a cheap upgrade for the headlight kit, so I am going to try them out.
I had Hella Yellowstar bulbs in my fog lamps, and had no issues with them. I have experience with Hella 500FF driving lights, Hella 500 fog lights and Hella Supertone horns, and I have been very impressed with their overall quality.
Honestly, I would also check into the OSRAM silverstars.
