ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

lol, well that sounds like it was the biggest waste of time and effort.

I'm going to say use lacquer thinner, and pour it on and wipe it off, ONE PANEL at a time, and immediately wash the panel with soap and water. Don't rub too hard with it or it will begin to eat into the clear coat.

Does he have plans to maybe paint the car again? You could scuff it and just hit the whole car with high fill primer and sealer.

He can rattle can the entire car for about $100 worth of paint and prep material, and 2 days.

Example of $100 rattle can paint job in 2 days.

I dont know what's available in the states, but I use the brand Home Hardware sells here. Basically pour it on a rag or paper towel and start to rub. The paint will start to come off.

I've used lacquer thinner ontop of my factory paint before and I haven't had any issues. It will literally eat right through the spray paint, and shouldn't harm your stock paint. But like I said, make sure you wash it with soap and water immediately.

he probably would have been alot happier if he did prep it first by sanding but just saying rite now if he does use lacquer thinner or pretty much anything if there was any clear on the paint before its pretty much guarenteed to get some damage in areas and dam thats gonna be alotta work gettin it of alot more than rattle caning it on thats for sure

          in the begining...

i would hate to say it but hes kinda screwed..try the thinner. If it goes through to the clear. Sand it all down and spray it again.

If you look in my "newb" thread with my cars my notch is sprayed in flat black with a can. That was not taking my time. TAke your time with it and do it in nice weather.
