ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Smoked Tail Light Paint/ Tint

Ok just out o curiousity has anyone ever tried using the paint to smoke the tail lights for tinting windows? Buddy said he wanted to try it and advised against. When he said why I could only say let me consult the experts (You all) cuz I think you should use something only for that which it is intended.

here ya go...smoke tint window spray paint then used a clear coat.
I did this like 4 years ago with no problems.
I removed lights cause I wanted to get rid of the altezza look!

I did however have a problem when I tried to do it to the headlights, it kept peeling off, I just dont think the clear coat sealed right.

I dont see what difference window tint spray would be to using Niteshades?

I contacted VHT about the window tint spray and they said it is discontinued.

Well considering I don't know what I'm doing I may just go to the shop and get the tints.

I tried this so my front would match my rear perfectly.
Except the flaking part. But ya being a glass lens, I can see that.

Have done this years ago with simply black enamel spray paint, very light coats till you get it just dark enough....the light still shines through fine, even if you all but black them out.

I did mine, and even with good prep they still tend to peel off because they are glass and not plastic, what I ended up doing was removeing all the paint and used some "smoke transluscent self adhesive film" and they came out better and still look great, and better yet if your ever decide you dont want them smoked you can just peel it off and they're back to stock...
