ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Trunk custom question

I know a few people on here have custom trunk lids with the plate moved and such. Can someone put a pic up for me and explain everything that was done. Thanks

I believe people buy a plate relocator kit and then most likely weld the piece
onto the trunk lid. When/if you do this don't forget your license plate lights
    so you don't get hassled.

Take out the center tail lights and license plate garnish.
      Weld in sheet metal.
      Grind / sand / paint.
      Done.

ugly in my opinion. I have always thought that the deck lid looks awkward with the center shaved out.

Most people just weld in sheet metal and make a spot for it. It's not that easy to do if you've never done it. You need to have good welding and bodywork skills to pull it off.

I think it looks good and with the plate put to the side it an be pulled off. Does anyone know how much it would cost to have a shop do it?

I can't imagine it being very cheap.
I'd talk to mini truck guys around your area and see if they can do it, or know of anyone that does it pretty cheap.

Let them do the dirty work, then take it to the shop for paint.

                    that is quite the compliment
especially since its from the member i look up to the most on this board

and i was actually wanting to do a flip plate from underneath the car on the opposite side of the muffler with a actuator wired to the ignition. that way it would only be seen when driving. problem with that is that my car is so low it would scrape the floor on any little bump

Excuse me for the ignorance but I had never seen this done on our cars, but now that I was brought to my atention I do like the way it looks but agreeing with TypeG on the cleanliness of cb7dazz's car it definately looks great and very professional...

Dazz's is the only one that looks good, but I still don't like that look. It only works well on trucks and SUVs.

Cars just cant pull it off cleanly.
