Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    HID fog lights

    I had a good day at the junk yard today. i picked up all 4 mudflaps
    cd5 side skirts
    clear bumper blinkers
    and fog lights! score

    i got other little things like interior door handles and stuff all for 100 bucks
    idk i kinda feel jipped lol but im happy i got fog lights im pretty sure they're usdm







    know i have done my research and got the idea of how to mount them ....
    my question is....
    what the best way to crackem open because one is a bit oxidized from the inside and i want to clean it up just throw them in the oven for like 15 min at 150?
    i also have some 9006 HID's and im planing to use them in the fogs should i just make a new harness for them or just rig the one i got in the junk yard to work with them?
    and my last question i have the fog light switch no connection some one had already taken it how can i make it work?
    sorry if im asking question that have already been answered but i have use our awesome search feature and haven't found the answer for the last two question the first is just kinda of a making sure...

    You have USDM fogs

    Good luck trying to get 9006's to fit in the fog lights....

    if you have the switch but no harness you could buy from the classifieds, buy from auto parts store, or make your own harness.

        well I can tell you right away those HIDs will glare like a mothertrucker in that sealed beam style lens.

            i was wondering how bad it would glare.. i have these 3k HIDs that i replaced with 6 k HIDs for my low beams so i thought i might give it a try

              Those are h.I.d's. I've been going back and forth about putting h.I.d's in stock fogs for a while. So far Benjamin112 has been the only one I found that posted light output pics from h.I.d stock foglights. Those are 90-91 fogs though. I was going to use a h.I.d relay harness for the wiring. Just need to make it happen. But so many shady h.I.d companies to choose from.

                the cheap ones normally do good from ebay and such. just wire it correctly fuse and RELAY!!!! dont forget RELAY!

                    Dam U Got 9293 Fogs, Thats Wat I Want, I Have 9091 Blk Housed Fogs With Lexus Yellow Caps.

                    If I Ever Connect Them Any Yr Fogs, Ill Get Hids In Yellow.

                      i opened the fog light i wanted to clean up and i find that the reflective part is peeling of any recommendation on what to do?
                      maybe black house or yellow stain?
                      has anyone ever done this to their fogs?

                          yeah man that exactly what im going to do
                          i have yellow HIDs and thinking of a way to put them on with out having to much glare maybe if i take of the part that seals the bulb?
