ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Carbon Fiber Hoods

Hey, Ive been thinking about Carbon Fiber Vented Hoods and i was wondering if anyone has either of these and if they are even worth it. Should i just get an OEM Carbon Fiber Hood?

personally, i think both of those look terrible. I have a OEM style CF hood that i will prob paint body color once the clear coat starts to yellow.

The second one is the better looking of the 2 but I personally dont think that those kind of hoods look good on our accords.
I would just get an OEM style one.

Yeahh im not really into them either, i mean i like the idea of a vented hood but they look a little tacky. Ive seen a "invader" style hood before CF but it was very small and had small little vents i believe. Know what im talking about?

The evo style CF hoods looked alright to me, but still not my style. If the CF look is what you want, stick with OEM and put a rake on it...

or take a look at some of these...

Bill(BillKisme) had one of these for sale before the site went down. He might still have it if you feel like making a drive to Baltimore.

What do you mean put a rake on it and what about the VFiber OEM CF Hood?

He means put washers(or a friend of mine used small sockets) between the bolts and the hinges to raise the back up forming a slight rake(front lower than rear) on the hood.

Word. again, its not my style, but some people digg it.

As for the VFiber hood page...thats not a pic of a CB hood, so im guessing whatever they're offering will be the same as any other OEM CB7 CF hood.

vented hoods don't look all that great on our cars, and besides, have you ever seen how much dirtier an engine bay gets with vented hoods?

Ha. My buddy used 12MM 3/8 drive sockets on a 240 and it actually helped him with his overheating problem on the SR20 with a T28 pushing 22lbs... Then he installed meth which apparently helps his coolant temp(thought it only helped IAT's?).
