Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    Clear Carbon Fiber hood please help.

    i wanna know whether or not this is some photo shop work or is there an actual hood that does this ive heard of carbon kelvar hoods that were see through from a friend and they were outrageously expensive something like 1500 to 2000$ a hood but yeah anyone know or have any words about this hood?

    that's a photo shop trick, but they do or did make clear hoods for cb7's. later.

        The clear hoods are plastic, thogh. You cannot see through carbon fiber or kevlar.

          It's an easy photoshop trick. you take a picture of the car without the hood, and a picture of it with the hood, and layer them. but, yeah, clear hoods do exist.

            hmm thanks for the info. yeah i wouldnt want a clear plastic hood although it would be a great weight reduction haha.. but really cheap.. carbon fiber is nice too.

              clear hoods alone would be weird, IMO, and a hassle. On a show car sure. but a street car you're going to be showing a lot of dirt. and it'd just be a bitch to clean all the time. otherwise it'd just look like sh*t.

                    I went to a place one time that had a carbon fiber hood with a clear plastc in the center ..so it was the CF hood, but where there would normally be vents or something of that sort went clear plastic..

                    I didnt like the design of it, I did like the price of 100 bux, but I still didnt/wouldnt rock it..

                    if you want to show everyone your rare and expensive parts might as well have a sign that says "steal me I have 3k in JDM parts yo"
