ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    Just Need Some Input

    Hello hello!

Very new to the community, and just bought myself a 92 accord ex-r coupe! I finally was able to get my hands on one that was in decent shape and it wasn't easy at all! I am fairly familiar with this car as I previously owned the sedan version...but at that point I didnt really car to much as it was a pass down from my grandparents!

Anyway, to the point...it has some very very minor things that need to be changed! The first is the interior door handle casing...its cracked and very hard to operate the door handle. I was doing some reading and most say just to swap out the casing...but would that really fix it? It seems like a common problem, I just figured it would be more to do with the actual mechanism and thats why the plastic has broken!

Secondly...one of my rear exterior side lips...or car door protectors (the plastic strips along the door and rear sides of the car), one is loose. Do I need to take the interior panel off to access the lip and secure it?

And lastly, rear break light has a fair amount of moisture inside it. I looked around for any sort or crack or leak and cant find one. Any input of fixing it,or previous problems anyone has had with this?

Any input helps guys! Thanks in advance!

which door is it popping out of? just curious..

I had this problem with mine. Its pretty useless to go out to a junkyard and try getting these clips out yourself as the old ones get pretty brittle and break easily. Your best bet is to buy them from Honda. They're like 5 bucks a clip. Pretty pricey but I paid it just cuz I got too aggravated at breaking all the ones at the j/y I tried to pull off. You have to pull the molding off from inside the door. Which means taking the inside door panel off. It sucks but its the only way. You just look up inside the door after u get the panel off and you'll see the clips.

You see models at every car show.
But have you ever seen a model that actually takes the car she built to a show?

I did mine the broke way, I used JB Weld to put mine back on because the clips broke.

Its a molding on a 92 coupe. Not on the door but the back part(no door), Iv looked for a way to take the panel off but there doesnt seem to be any way! And I have been really considering just saving myself the hassle and using some sort of adhesive!

Oh and where I live...for some reason every junk yard doesnt have a single accord coupe in it. Very trouble some at times, hense the door handle moldings!

well since the junkyards dont have any coupes that means you'll probably have to get stuff from the honda dealer. which is more expensive but better in the long run. I really have never taken that back little molding piece off a coupe. Maybe someone with a coupe on here will chime in. I assumed that it was a door molding you were talking about.

Yes it is the door molding. Its not a huge issue, I just feel as though I should deal with it before it gets worse!

i had the same problem with my tail lights.. so i took them off and drilled 3 little holes in the bottom of the light casing so any moister can leak out..
