ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

The hose that use to exist there is called PCV (Positive Crankcase Ventilation) hose. You can either put a little filter on or keep the hose and leave it hooked to the intake, just as long as there is a way to vent out and vapors.

look into oil catch can...that is what you need to do...not those filters. The filters will end up coating your hood and under hood parts with oil...not cool...oil corrodes rubber parts and plastic parts...there are tons of those under there. So do a catch can. You'll keep oil out of your intake, and oil out from the underside of your hood...and you'll still have a well ventilated crank case.

here is mine I made with cheap ass parts ALL from harbor freight...you can do MUCH MUCH better...hondafan81 has a couple NICE ones he made. Check 'em out

with mine I have a functional pcv valve which was a my main goal here, and I catch a LOT of oil now. And now that I properly sealed everything now I get ONLY oil in there.
        mine

I can't give you a link to hondafan81's catch can designs cause I'm at work and pics won't load at work...sorry. But he's got a nice one

You guys have this all wrong. It's not the PCV hose that gets a filter, it's the PVC Fresh Air Supply hose that can be replaced with a small filter. That's the hose on the left hand side (looking over the front bumper) of the valve cover that hooks up to the throttle body air supply tubeing. The idea is to supply the PCV system with a FILTERED supply of air so the small filter seems to accomplish the same thing. Often,an aftermarket Cold Air Intake system will not have a port in the intake tube for hooking up this hose so you need to fabricate a port or just use one of those small filter. You certainly wouldn't attach an oil catch can to this hose. An oil catch can would be attached between the PVC valve and the Intake plenum. (the hose in the middle of the valve cover)
