ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

problem getting wheels on... not what you think

so i got some cheap wheels while in texas just because, well, they were cheap and i like the look. i ran into a problem getting them on. the bolt pattern is correct and the fit on the lugs just fine but the problem is i can't get a lug nut in the hole to tighten them. here are some pics:

here's the wheel, 2 lug patterns. our pattern that i'm using is the holes on the corners(not the ones directly on top, bottom, left, right)

here is the stock lug nut next to the holes. notice how much bigger it is

here is a lug stud in one of the holes, showing very little room around it

So what do you suggest? i'm planning on getting extended studs anyways, do you think some aftermarket lug nuts will fit? or should i drill out the holes so the nuts fit? thanks for all your info!

    Get the correct lug nuts.
Autozone/Pep Boys calls them "tuner lug nuts".

Yea, my friend ran into the same problem. His stock lugs didn't fit in the hole because of the washer looking thing at the end of the lug nut. You're just going to have to buy those 'tuner lug nuts'.

You also might want to check and see if you need hubcentric rings. They fill the gap between the hub lip on the car, and the center hole of the wheel (if there is one, sometimes there isn't). They keep the wheel from getting knocked off center on a hard bump.

I didn't either until the wheels I bought were missing one. Took them off the donor car and thought "WTF are these things?"
