ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    Exterior color in interior?

This is probably a really dumb question, but after searching online with no luck it's kinda making me mad.

I have an Accord with the "Hampshire Green" color and I was brainstorming colors that would go with it (not to mention I couldn't really think of any that I liked...). Then I started thinking about putting the Hampshire Green color inside the car. Here's the dumb question: is this possible? If so, what paint would I be using? Where would I get it?

    Thanks for helping.

one quick fix that i like and think looks pretty cool is to remove your carpet, revealing the green underneath, the to contrast, jus throw in your floormats!

So you want to know if the floor steel is the same color of the exterior of the car???

        No. lol
I want to know if it's possible to paint the interior pieces (dash, door trims, etc) with the same (exact if possible) color as the exterior of my car, which is the Hampshire Green color. And if possible, how?

You can just pickup rattle cans that are a close match at your local auto parts store.

I'ma just say now though that usually, having the interior, or even parts of the interior the same color as your exterior looks kinda... ehh... not good.

Just my opinion from what i've seen. You do whatever you want though, its your car you make it how you want it.

            Yes, it's possible.
For the door panels, dash, center console, and other plastic pieces, use plastic/vinyl paint.
For the carpet, seats, and other upholstered pieces, use fabric dye.

I'd give it a little more though before you go through with it. It'll be cheap to do, but expensive to reverse. You may not like your interior being color matched to your exterior later that day.

wow, I NEVER knew the name of that color! Sweet!

If you do it, do it VERY sparingly. Accents only. Too much will seriously be overpowering!

PT Cruisers had colormatched dash panels... I always thought that was kinda cool, even though the rest of the interior was garbage.

Don't go crazy and paint the door panels or the dash and stuff to match the body. Small things, like door handle surrounds, the centre stack (HVAC, Radio trim), automatic shifter plate and just small things like that.

Also depending on what colour your interior is too.

For me, my car is silver with black leather. I could easily paint a few small parts silver and have it look good. But to me, my interior looks good stock. I generally don't like painted interiors. I've seen some that look great and others that look like a paint store exploded inside.

As for the paint to use, Duplicolor makes Near Match rattle cans. They should be readily available at Autozone and such.

Failing that, go somewhere that mixes paint, give them your paint code, which is found in the driver's side door jamb, and have them mix you up a spray can of paint.

I have a local autobody supply shop here in town which mixes me up colour matched paint in spray cans, so when I replace panels, I can just spray them to (relatively) match.

Pep-Boys or autozone should have our color look for BG26M.

                      yes,but not in all colours.

Having a 91 SE, I have Solaris Silver, which they do not make. So I had the autobody supply store mix it up for me at the cost of $21 per large spray can.

you know the cb7 tan interior would look nice along with black leather if you had a green interior you may not like...
