ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    lowering my accord

Im lowering my some what soon im getting 2 inch lowering springs kyb struts and a camber kit. I want to lower it more but i dont want my wheels to bow. How low can a 91 accord get without bowing the wheels?

When u lower ur car its gonna most likely have some degree of negative camber (the bowing ur referring to). The lower u go, the more negative. But u plan on getting a camber kit so u can correct ur negative camber so it shouldn't make a difference.

By "bowing" I assume you mean negative camber. That's what your camber kit is for. Have it aligned properly by a shop that knows how to work on lowered cars. Usually, 2" down with 0* camber will result in your upper control arms hitting the fenderwell. I would get a rear camber kit as well.

What springs did you get? Cheap generic springs can sag over time (sometimes fairly quickly), which will affect your alignment.
A cheap camber kit can break (mine did... I'm lucky to be alive. Another 2 miles on the highway, and it'd have broken completely, causing me to lose control and crash)

What KYB shocks did you get? If they're GR2s, those are only made for a spring rate 15% higher than stock. They're better than dropping on your tired stock shocks (which many beginners do without realizing the danger), but they won't be properly matched. I would only rely on them for a short time... look into upgrading to something better. (KYB AGX is about the same, but adjustable... also not made to go very low)

The lower you go, the more potential problems you introduce.

So you have no idea what you're getting, then?
For that price, unless you're being charged next to nothing for installation... I can't imagine you're getting quality components.

Seriously, learn more about your suspension before you modify it. If you're going with cheap stuff, and worse, having it installed by someone else... You could SERIOUSLY be putting your life at risk. DO NOT cheap out on your suspension. When you lose control of your 1.5 ton vehicle at highway speeds, you'll just be along for the ride. Cheap out on anything but the things that will keep you from crashing (suspension, brakes, and tires.)
