ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

WTF!? Is this rattle can paint?

Okay, so I need some help guys. I remember a thread a while ago about paint matching the side moldings and drummersteve or somebody posted a link to a paint store or something that sold any paint color in a rattle can. You just had to enter in your paint code from the door jam or whatever and you could buy a rattle can full of that color paint. Can anybody post a link or tell me where I can get this stuff please.

Can I use this paint to paint my side moldings too? Like, just spray it on? Or do I need to prime it and everything else?

If you want the paint to stick, yes.

Here in my city I went to Offshore Auto Supplies and had some paint mixed up in rattle cans for me. Stuff works pretty good. Now, if only I hadn't effed up with the primer, it actually would have matched.

I actually am buying this to paint that OEM spoiler Mikey. It's way cheaper to do it this way myself. I'm gonna use some filler to fill the crack, sand, prime, sand, prime, wet sand, paint and then clear. Does this sound about right?

Hi, when it comes to any type of painting, sanding is a must if you want your paint to stick and not peel.

                        Prep work is #1.

I suggest using a light colored primer if you have a light colored car. It will make the color easier to match instead of using a dark primer.

                        Thanks.

Hold off on the paint til I have the spoiler shipped. I might need to hang onto it. I have a couple things going on right now.

                            1) Buying the trunklid the spoiler came off of. I have to now fill the holes in before I can paint and mount the trunk.

                            2) The spoiler MIGHT look good on it

                            3) If I don't like it, then it's all yours like we discussed, and then I'll get one of those M3 style trunk lip spoilers.
