ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

WS2 or 2.25" to newer civic Si muffler=quieter.
Magnaflow makes a great catback as well...but it's quite pricey.

If you want something cheap, an ebay catback would be enough to suffice.
I know there are some members who've picked them up for about $100.

Granted you want something of higher quality, my favorite is the Megan catback.

        life is good.

if you want to stay within budget, do what I did. I got a $40 Thrush welded 2.5" muffler from Advanced Auto, went to my local muffler shop, and for $60 including 2.5" pipe, I got it installed from cat-back. It rattles a bit at high RPM, but purrs when at moderate RPM, and speed. I will be fixing that with a spare resonator I have laying around. Ill be at $130 out the door...

Ummmm not positive on this....... But I've seen the Megan M-OE muffler a lot latley. There's some videos on youtube that show it and it sounds pretty good. Its kinda like an Apexi WS2 knock off IMO, and it has a removable silencer which is always nice. But Megan Racing states that its suppose to be deeper and quieter than most "canister" style mufflers due to its oval shape. And it looks more discreet too. I'm thinkin about tryin one myself

I had the OBX version of it. It was pretty quiet compared to my fart cannon, but definitely not the sound quality of the WS2.

But, it sounded pretty good and looked nice for a $50 muffler.

thanks for all the replies, i have been thinking about this one, http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMEWAX%3AIT

but not too sure since its knock off and i dont know how loud it gonna be, but for 108 with bolt on from cat back, thats a killer deal As i could do it in my drive way on stands, i had magna flow on my vw way bac when and it was a very low deeo tone but too deep and loud but it wasnt going thru a resinator either. it was straight piped from cat to muffler, ill be also having an aem intake and k and n cone filter on as well

Good luck. The cheap ones are generally loud. Quiet mufflers often require more materials, better materials, and more design consideration. That, or they're restrictive, like your stock muffler. The cheap companies cater to the people that think it's cool to be heard a mile away.
