ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Drinking Tray Broken

I broke my drinking tray a while ago. When I push it in it wont stay in? , it just pulls back itself. How do I take off this part out? I want to put a new one in. I'm very tired looking at it open... it just annoys me alot.

it's usually the white lever looking thing that gets messed up. i'd try seeing if you can fix it before you buy another. later.

Depending on the center console setup you have the steps might vary slightly. You might have to move your seat forward or backwards (depending on your seating position) but you'll see screws on both sides of your center console. Just take a phillips head and take them out and apply your e-brake so you can remove the first section of the center console. The second section is held in with two more screws in the footwell area. remove those and the second half of the center console should slide out. From there there are a few screws holding the cup holder in place. Remove those and it should be out. Reverse the steps for the installation and you should be good to go.

Junkyard is so filthy & dirty. I wish junkyard was cleaner for my hands could touch.

Make one of the jy d00ds pull one. If it's a self pick&pull type deal, it's not hard it's just pull out the ashtray and two philips head screws hold the tray in place if I remember correctly.

wear mechanics gloves? I'm a little obsessive-compulsive, but junkyards are tolerable if you're in the right gear. The smell of car death is the only thing that bothers me there nowadays.

hmm I can't really describe what 'car death' smells like. Cars with deployed airbags smell like sulfur residue, kinda ashy. Other than that, when cars are crushed, all that dust and particles have to go somewhere. Since you're in the direct vicinity, you smell it.

Thats cool, well I got my drinking tray fix today. I ask my dad to pick up the part at the junkyard near my house. The whole thing cost couple of dollars. Lucky I didn't break any else.

In my Beater (92 LX) The thing was broken to the point where it wouldnt retract on its own. The mechanism was taken out, so you have to manually pull the cup holder out, and then push it back in.
