haha, so I was messing around in the garage today and I read somewhere on here that somebody mentioned breaking up the amber reflector inside the bumper lenses to make clear turn signals for free, rather than buying the $20 ebay ones.
So,I figured I'd give it a shot since I had a spare set laying around.
Using a screwdriver, I attempted to pry and break the amber reflector apart. Upon hammering it, I actually ended up moving the reflector more towards the inside of the lense, leaving the outside clear where the bulb sits.
I thought, hey that looks kinda neat,so I popped the light back in the car and turned my signal on. It lit up white on the outside, and the reflector now on the inside portion of the lens also still lit up amber, so now I have clear/amber bumper lenses completely by accident, but I think it looks pretty cool so I'm going to leave it this way!
What do you guys think?
Looking at it dead on, not very noticable...pretty subtle
Close up,seeing where the bulb sits is now clear and the reflector pushed to the inside of the assembly
Lit up. That looks different!
So there. If you guys like that look, all it takes is about 5 minutes and a hammer and a flathead screwdriver.
