ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

I had a problem with them burning out quik too. I had a set of Streetglows that I got off a friend that were awsome. They were blue and put out a good amount of light.

I spent $50 on two low beam bulbs at Autozone and they work fine. But if you r gonna spend $80 bucks then i'd just go with HID.

I have silverstars in my car right now and I like them! I've had them for over 8 months and they still work fine. I would suggest just getting low beams as well, as you will hardly use your high beams. My set cost about $50 at Wal-mart at the time.

i have/had them. theres a set of lows on the car. i like them but the price was a little steep for bulbs that are a little bit whiter than the original ones, or the cream colored ones. i got a pair of streetglow lows and highs in right now, both sets are DOT approved. there just as bright as H.I.Ds but a more cost effective alternative. i like the streetglow ones, they got that bluish effect when first on then when they get hot there are a bright white, except my headlights were aligned wrong so they pointed towards one side of the car, but ill readjust after black housing.

I got a set of Silver Star Ultras lows in my tool box, if you werent so far away, i would let you try them.

Yeah,I've done that in a Ford Contour I had. Ran 9005s in the lows. Didn't really seem to make any difference though.

i once bought a set of sivertars, like 2 years ago. within 2 weeks one went out, i took it back to autozone and they swapped it out for free, then a week later the other one went out. (i put them in wearing brand new latex gloves). i put a regular bulb in there and was running a silverstar and an 8 dollar bulb. while on the freeway you could see the silvertar reflecting off the little reflecters in the road maybe 5% better than the other bulb. but the yellower bulb was at least 25% more reflective off black surfaces. eventually i replaced the 9006 connector with 9005, also using regular bulbs. this increased my light utput a little more.

Silverstars are nothing more than a tinted bulb that is marketed out the ass. i hate them and will never EVER buy them ever again.

im now running 5000k hid in my car and have never been happier, (easily 2-4 times more light output). with my stock housing i probably piss quite a few other people off, but i find comfort knowing they are not illegal, and there are probably a million other people running HIDs in improper housings.

on a side note i dont know why anyone wastes their time on these repeat posts, including myself, i suppose i was bored
