ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Power Lock Question

Man here goes. I have had several CB7s but never posted on the site. My question is I now have a 90 EX and my locks don't work. Fuse is good and switches are hooked up. When I hit the button on either door or turn the key I hear the control box click in the driver door but NONE of the doors lock. Suggestions please as I would like my doors to Power lock. Thanks

pull off driver door panel and replace the lock control box my coupe had the same problem. i found the box at my local junkyard really easy to replace....like 3 screws and the plug

Dont replace the box. If you take the board out of the box you can simply resolder the bad joint on the rely. I did it with my box and its working great and it didnt cost a cent.

Hey, I also have problems with my door locks. When I press down the lock switch it locks the driver door and rear passenger side door, but not the other two doors. Would the switch be the culprit for this problem as well?

Well, I was thinking of purchasing a keyless remote system, but figured it would be pointless if it only unlocked 2 doors. So I guess the best thing to do would be to test the doors to see if the actuators still work. Guess I will do this when I get a day off.

Hey fellow CB7 owners went to the JY today got a box for 2.00 and installed, hit the button and click the locks went. The box came from a two door also. Glad it worked. Good luck on the rest of ur issues and thanks for the replies. As for Tippy's reply I don't know how to solder. This is a brand new box also. Nice and clean no dirt, dust or nothing.
