ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

I think they're the E46 projectors. You can also get them from a Nissan 300ZX. You can use pretty much anything that will fit inside your housing. Take some measurements and go to the junk yard and you might get lucky.

if you cant find projectors that use hid bulbs
get projectors that use 9005-9006 bulbs, they'll atleast be as close to them
projectors w h3 bulbs or h7 produce a lot of glare, and there's not even a cut off

        good example of projectors

        hyundai xg350(tiburon)
        mercury cougar 03 (v6 DOHC)
        oldsmobile alero 04

        low quality ones:
        infinity j30
        lexus (non hid)
        ebay
        etc

not only the cut-off is an important part in the assy,
but the actual back reflector, you allways want the bulb to sit in the right place

the lens if you get a lens w a spiral groove your output will be different

if you're only going for looks and some preformance go w one of the above, i suggest mecury, (bosch)

if you want performance, id go w tsx (cheapest) w e49 shroud

The TSX projectors look fantastic. I've seen them firsthand.

If you're going to put in the work, get something good.

Search on ebay. They're all over the place on there.

Don't buy the entire light. Search "TSX Projector".

Just buy the projectors alone. The price of retrofit parts have dropped a lot over the years. When I originally did my retrofit the total was roughly $700 in parts for my first set of headlights (my cb had 5 diff sets total). I think now the entire set up can be done for roughly $400 or less if using OEM hid ballast and bulbs.

                      Halogen

TSX projectors + IS300 hid ballast and bulbs

I haven't ever done it but from what i've read it doesn't seem to be too bad.

It's not too hard. Measure twice, cut once.
