Exactly. Simple. Even my dumb ass could figure it out... both on a CB7 and on my Grand Prix.
Many people have run HIDs with thier stock wiring for a while and had no problems. However, when I first got my HID kit for the CB7, a former moderator of this forum (xplode), who is now a mod or admin on HIDplanet.com, beat it into my head that the risk of drawing too much power through the stock wiring is a very bad thing. When a preventative measure is available, and affordable, why take the risk?
6000k is decent. The color can vary from kit to kit. The 6000k that I had in the GTP was a bit too blue. I'd prefer 4500, I think.
Ebay projectors designed for halogen lights won't work well with HIDs. I mean, it'll work... they'll throw light... but it won't be the clean spread and sharp cutoff that you get with proper HID-specific projectors. I have Audi projectors in my car, and they're nice. icedplaya123 has TSX projectors... and good lawd... i need to change my drawers every time I see them.
