ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

um...wow. honestly if you dont know what fiberglass even is, you're going to have a hard time making stuff out of it.
Fiberglass is comprised of a structured weave or random matte of small, flexible glass fibers. in most situations, the fiberglass is "painted" (easiest way to describe it) with a resin material which then cures and hardens. both can be found at oreiley's, lowes, wal-mart, etc. it takes a fair bit of practice and skill to use it effectively. i definately wouldnt try making a mold of something as your first fiberglass project. not only will the mold probably not come out right, you could easily destroy the part you were trying to make a mold of. in addition, mold-making involves a fairly large amount of additional products like gel-coats and release materials.
here is a decent series of how to make fiberglass parts using a mold. i havent watched it all the way through (supposed to be studying for a history final at the moment) but just i briefly skimmed it and it should give you a pretty good idea of what all is involved. note that this is for making fairly small pieces out of glass, but it should give you some idea of what it takes to make a mold for a fairly intricate piece. every mold will be different, as different pieces have certain requirements of their mold's shape and construction. also note that the video i've linked to is only the first is a series of 8 videos

If you don't have any experience with fiberglassing or know the ingredients that make up fiberglass... just maybe you shouldn't attempt to make anything.
There are different types of resin, different types of mat, different molding products and processes.
Your best bet would be to go to one of the many fiberglass forums and start reading/learning. You'll learn a lot more about the processes, ingredients, and tips there then you would here.

i bought one of those fiberglass kits from wally world one time to remove the hole from my 9091 two piece grill. The kit came with a nice sized piece of "cloth" , a bottle and a tube of epoxy i'd imagine. mix those two agents together and then you dip the cloth into the epoxy then you stick it on whatever it is you wanted to stick it to.
my grill came out great after sanding and then painting it and i've never even worked with fiberglass before only bondo.
