Plastic and Glue = FAIL for me? HELP!

i bet you can't chip it off. that gorrilla glue is serious.

if the glue were on the outside, that's one thing, but being on the inside makes it even more difficult due to the ridges.

i would keep them for spare parts. later.

Depending on which version of Gorilla Glue you used, those are their recommended actions. The third link is more general.

The plastic should be fairly resistent to acetone, but I would try it in an inconspicuous spot prior to rubbing on the glue. Since that stuff is so serious, there is a chance you will just have to find new lenses, but you might find these techniques to be useful.

Also, since acetone is organic, it can be incompatible with some forms of organic solids (i.e. plastics), however, it is compatible with some others. My guess is that your lense is made of polycarbonate, polystyrene, or polypropylene, all of which are common in those types of uses. So again, you may want to try a sample at your own risk, on an inconspicuous spot. Since it is already cured, it may not work at all.

This may be a longshot but what about using the lense off of the ebay projectors? You could get them cheaper anyways. I don't know how the two of them are made or what differences they would have though.
