ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Oh, and Tokico HPs aren't made for a drop that low. They will blow. Replace them with something made to handle that drop.
Agreed. I know first-hand the H&R sport springs are still too aggressive for the Tokico HP shocks. They will last you like 15-20K max.

I don't understand how the high-end shocks suck, but their entry level shocks are the ones to go with... STR-T are the non-adjustable cheapies from Koni. I believe xaaronx has them, or is getting them soon. Gloryaccordy is also getting them soon.

I have yellows on H&R race, and they're well matched. I suppose when it comes to street driving, it's a matter of opinion. Anything else requires racetrack times to prove how effective a suspension setup is.

Im just trying to find somthing cheeper than yellows that will work with the H&R Race's...I really want to ditch the Eibach Sportlines and Get somthing lower..

If I just buy the Race Springs and Put them on my AGX's how long do you think the would last??

I only drive the car on the weekends on nice roads and it does hit the drag strip from time to time..

I'f i have to save up money for the yellows I probably will just buy the F&F Type 1 Coilovers for around the same price..

                  IDK Just Thoughts

Yea you will blow STR.Ts in no time.

Really, u have no choice. If u want a decent shock for Race level springs, u have to spend at least $450.

                      New AGXs - $450.
                      New Illuminas- $450.
                      New Bilstien HDs- $450.
                      New Koni Yellows- $500.

Those are the only 4 shocks that will work with those springs. Everything else will blow over time. Hell, AGXs will blow over time. I'd say 90% of the people I know who've had them had them blow, race springs or not. I think they are just poorly designed.

So it's really 3 shocks. Otherwise, don't even bother with the springs. It will be a waste of time.

I will have some H&R Sports for sale soon.

the yellows are to stiff for the racesprings they cut the drop. My buddy has a set on race springs and they didnt go down much lower than his eibachs.
How do you figure you'll blow the STR.Ts? They are valved specifically for street driven cars lowered 1.25 and lower. Call koni and speak with a rep like I did.

Yellows are not too stiff for the Races. Shocks can never be too stiff for springs. Plus the Neuspeed Cup Kit pairs the two together. If anything the Yellows are valves specifically for the Races.

STR.Ts are valved at what's equivalent to "1/2 a turn from full soft on Koni Yellows". That valving is nowhere near strong enough for the Race spring rates, and is more suited for Tein S-Techs/Neuspeed+HR Sports. Anything more than that, and I'm pretty sure you will end up blowing them.
