ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Come on pimps and playaz lets keep it real. Back in the day EVERYBODY used to cut their springs, including me. Yeah its wack now cuz of all the options out there (lowering spring, coilovers etc) but I know way back in mid to late 90's thats how people did it. We all know the hazards and whatnot and I do agree completely with it and I would NEVER roll on cut springs again. And yeah I'm sure there has been many an accident because of them but there are many an accident with pretty much anything u do pertaining to modding the suspension. I know this much, I've had many cars including a CB all on cut springs and never had problems and thats not including all my other homies rolling the same damn way. And this was on stock ass shocks and no type of camber kits or alignments or not of that shit. But like I said, I in no way condone cutting springs as a matter of fact I am completely against it. But come on yall are putting just a little too much topping on the entire subject. And to be honest I think most of you have never even rolled on cut springs and are just repeating what everybody else is saying.

run with sprint extremes. those give any strut and spring combo a nice ride.

Yeah yeah I completely agree with u. Hell no I wouldn't recommend it. But like I said I just think cats are blowing it up a little too much.

what about skunk2 coil overs? friend put them on his civic and his are adjustable but it made it alot more bouncy i want to lower my car but am not sure what ones or what i need like would i need a camber kit and the whole strut or just lowering springs? i dont really trust cheap 40 ebay ones so i would spend about 350 on them what ones are good?

I've got KYB AGXs on Ground Controls. Good setup..not the BEST. But def. doesn't cost the most either. Konis cost a grip of money. KYBs w/ GCs don't. I spent about 600 on my setup. GCs i bought used and KYBs I bought new.

I lowered my car back in Aug. 2005 and its still doing fine, w/ no leaks in any of the shocks. Mileage then was approx 140k and I've got about 195k on the car now.
