Eibach, Neuspeed, H&R, Tein... all good brands. You would be better off buying a used set of name brand springs than a brand new set of knockoff no-name crap from ebay.

KYB does not make a shock for our cars that is made for more than a 1.5" drop.

i got cut springs on my hatch and im doing fine with it.. and its been about 2 months ive been riding fine...

Umm... improperly balanced suspension, blown shocks (if you so cheap that you have to cut your springs, there's a very good chance that you're running on 18 year old shocks) and "performance driving"... as people like to do with "modified" suspensions... WILL lead to that.

If I see you telling people on my forum that cut springs are fine, you'll find yourself banned VERY quickly. I don't want some naive 17 year old kid killing himself or friends due to bad advice!

E-bay springs are not the ideal springs to buy if you wanna go "cheap" the ride quality is so shitty that they will wear out ur struts in no time. Then sooner or later you will get the annoying BANG and Clump sounds when u go over the slightest potholes or driveways.

I had e-bay coilovers on my CB7 and had no problem with them for 2 years. they were on stock shocks.

Well i wouldn't say im on a "budget" for say, just not really looking into paying 1200$ for a pair of coilovers. unless its actually worth it 110%..

one day you will take your car to get aligned, once upon the lift the techs will look at your car they will look and see cut springs then they will LAUGH THEIR DICKS OFF all of this assuming that your car doesnt careen off the next cloverleaf in a towering inferno because your cars spring rate is designed for springs that are a certain height, which have now been distastefully modified and are not long enough to keep your car from bottoming out. Dont bother arguing that you will not have problems with cut springs because either me or deev will destroy your argument with a thing called physics.

i'm running these horrible ebay springs with a seldom drop, sure the ride quality isn't 5 stars but one of my stock springs was cracked ... can't get much worse than that. (I drive my car 200 miles every weekend and it rides fine on ebay)

I spent 700 on real coil overs for my accord, I don't think it was really worth it.... it was nice but its 700 dollars... could buy a SECOND cb7 for that.

Next time u get a problem that costs what another CB costs, go out and buy another CB. Yea, get a $700 CB, and see if that doesn't give u its own host of problems

Just because a car has little to no value on the used car market doesn't mean it will be equally cheap to run. If anything, the reason its so cheap is because it will have so many problems. Really think about that!

Come on pimps and playaz lets keep it real. Back in the day EVERYBODY used to cut their springs, including me. Yeah its wack now cuz of all the options out there (lowering spring, coilovers etc) but I know way back in mid to late 90's thats how people did it. We all know the hazards and whatnot and I do agree completely with it and I would NEVER roll on cut springs again. And yeah I'm sure there has been many an accident because of them but there are many an accident with pretty much anything u do pertaining to modding the suspension. I know this much, I've had many cars including a CB all on cut springs and never had problems and thats not including all my other homies rolling the same damn way. And this was on stock ass shocks and no type of camber kits or alignments or not of that shit. But like I said, I in no way condone cutting springs as a matter of fact I am completely against it. But come on yall are putting just a little too much topping on the entire subject. And too be honest I think most of you have never even rolled on cut springs and are just repeating what everybody else is saying.

I had cut springs on my 1st CB (just in the rear) and it was fine, but I knew what I was doing (only cut the dead coils; didn't affect anything but height).

In general I would not recommend cutting springs though
