ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Another accident :(

Alright, so the last accident I posted here was when my sister rear ended a pick up due to the brakes giving out.

This one was my fault due to stupidity..

This past Friday night, I was out with a couple of friends looking for some fun. We decide to go to the back parking lot of Best Buy and do a couple donuts and power slides just for the hell of it. It was me in my CB, and my friend in his SC430. So after doing a couple donuts, we decide to bounce cuz its been about 5 mins and security would be coming around any minute now.

So as I was leaving, I turned a corner (not power sliding or drifting whatever you wanna call it), in that split second, it appeared there have been 2-3 palates on the road. I quickly swurved to the right to avoid them, but had already ran them over. So I slam on the brakes, but unfortunately slam in to the curb and into some bushes.

There was no body damage except for a few scratches that can be washed off, but when I pulled over my right rim was chip badly and my brakes were out.

I took some pictures earlier today and are not sure what needs to be fixed. I guessing a tie rod but other than that, I'm not to familiar with suspension.

Here are some pictures. Any idea what needs to be fixed?

    rear right side wheel

If the pictures arent clear enough, I can put it on a jack and remove the spare and take better pictures. Thanks for any input. Wish me luck on this one

i would take it to a honda dealership and get them to look at it. from there, i'd take the list of parts you will need and get them from a junkyard. later.

I would do this, but I've tried driving it around the neighborhood, and I honestly don't think its safe enough to drive. The front right side wheel rubs against the inner fender wall everytime I turn, and the alignment is TOTALLY off. The pictures of my wheel turning slightly inward is when the steering wheel is straight.

You might need a control arm, tie rod, a link, or etc. You gotta get it in the air and take that tire off and really inspect it.

Dude not to be the worst case guy but Imma say that u bent the sub frame. The reason I say that is cuz I had a 92 that had the same problem and rode like that. I got it for 600 and was gonna give it to my girl but when I took it to Top Line to have it looked at they said that the sub frame was bent and that it woulda been cheaper to buy the entire right side than separate parts. Needless to say parts car. Go get it looked at and let me know what they say, good luck

the same thing happened to me. I just finish fixing it after 4 months

                          Things to check.

Suspension Cross Member - Check to see if there is any bent in the metal

Lower Control Arm and Knuckle are one of the weakest thing. I would replace those.

Brake Caliper might be bad also. Check the piston in side to see if straight

                          Replace all the ball joint.

Needless to say the farthest I've driven with that spare is up the back of a tow truck.

So I haven't even driven with that spare for more than 10ft.

And yes, it does squall and the steering wheel is super off like it needs alignment really bad.

I'll definitely keep those in mind

Around how much did all the repairs cost?
And was most of the work done by your self or a mechanic?

I'm not too familiar with suspension components so yeah..
