ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Remove stained glass paint from headlight?

Sorry to bother guys, buy i blacked house my headlights and when it came to paint the high beams i fucked it up, used some crack paint and my high beams look funny, bought some 3000k hid's and one fuck'n bulb came defective.

Is there a way to remove the paint without removing the shiny metalic look part.
(Sorry about my english, not native speaker)

it's possible, either by using very high grit sandpaper (2000+) and polishing compound; or try using a rag with a solvent, like acetone or xylene, and gently rubbing the yellow paint off.

but it would be a bit more time/cost-effective to get another set of headlights from say, the junkyard, and blackhousing them again.

    good luck.
    My pictures/photos will return soon...

Careful though , the chrome coating tends to come off easily.

I would buy another set of headlights like mentioned above. Try using solvent to get it off, I don't think sandpaper would be good on that chrome coating.

Thanks for the quick replays, but a set of headlights in Colombia cost around 350 bucks, I guess i'll leave them alone!

Acetone and a Q-tip. I de-yellow housed two sets of head lights this way (4 housings total). Just be gentle, or you'll push the end of the stick through the cotton and scratch the chrome. If you do scratch it, it's not a big deal.

So that explains why I did two sets of head lights with it, then? Look at the thread I posted. Those head lights were de-yellow housed with generic nail polish removal.

Think (and read) before you speak.
