I was at a junkyard today and happened to find an OEM Spoiler sitting on a black '93 Accord SE. Ripped it off for $25! My CB7 is Seattle Silver though. Does anyone know how I could go about painting the wing? I think a professional shop would charge an arm and a leg to paint it to a matching color.

ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

OEM Spoiler Painting

What I would do is sand it down with coarse (80), and then fine (150-180), spray primer, let dry, wet-sand primer with 600, spray oem paint, let dry, wet-sand again, spray oem paint again, let dry, then lastly, clear coat. You can either get base and clear in two separate cans, or you can have the two mixed together so it's cheaper. It would also make your life easier if you have a palm/detail sander or similar tool coz sanding by hand takes longer.

Heres the proper way to do this, if your hellbent on using rattle cans. If the spoiler doesnt have any chips or peeling clear on it dry sand the whole thing top and bottom with 220-320 until there is no shine left at all, put 1 or 2 light coats of grey filler primer on it, mostly just for color matching purposes, silver over black wont match. Wait for primer to dry wetsand with 600 grit, reprime if you go through back to black and repeat until its smooth. Wash the piece with hot soap and water, blow out all the cracks/crevices with compressed air, wipe the entire thing down with a damp, not soaked rag with rubbing alcohol on it, spray your color in even coats until it looks uniform. do 3 or 4 coats of color waiting 5 minutes or so in between. then wait 30 minutes and 3 or 4 coats of clear.
