ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.
2 of 2 < >

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    2. You have to cut your harness and use the sockets it comes with. You also may have to cut a lil piece off the housing if you're running a USDM bumper. It's really easy to do and there is a DIY around here.

    3. It's around there but I personally think thats pricey. I've gotten some for 180 shipped before. If there are some that have a light haze and is cheaper I would get it.

Resurfacing plastic lenses is easy. They'll look brand new.

    Good luck with your find.

my cb was made in japan so will i still have to cut a small piece of the housing? also these are the only ones on ebay i could find. is there anywhere else i can look to find these?

Even though, if it's a USDM bumper you'll need to cut a little piece on the bottom of the housing next to one of the tabs. Let me try to find the link, or you can do a little 'searching' and find it in the DIY section.

No. Itd be cheaper just to cut your US bumper.

You don't have to cut the bumper. You have to cut a small notch out of the headlight bracket. It took me maybe two minutes for both sides after i set up my dremel.

I think you should get the harness from password jdm because it costs just about the same to find the pieces you need to make them and gas to get them. They also look nice in your engine bay compared to spliced wires IMO.

It is true you may find the headlights cheaper but that is about average on ebay for a buy it now. I got mine shipped from japan for about 160 but that was a while ago and a deal I couldnt pass up.

do you possibly have pictures of where you cut the notches or will i be able to see where to cut them when i mount them?

i will be definitly getting the harness from password jdm. also i have seen a few posts saying you have to modified something with the h1 bulb even if you get the harness? do you or anyone else know if this is true?

No modifying needed to wire them up. Buy the harness plug and play!
