ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

the thing about "Back to Black" is that it comes off after a couple weeks. it's an oil-based compound that soaks into plastic and rubber. it's also prone to attracting dirt and debris.

if you don't mind applying it over and over again, or want an easier solution than painting, Back to Black will do the job.
        My pictures/photos will return soon...

This has been my experience with those products too.

If you do end up painting your trim, get trim paint, or at least paint for plastic.

Excelent ideas, thanks everybody, since I lived in a country where everything that is import is REALLY expensive and impossible to get, I'mma try to get satin black paint, if not possible, i will get some plastic primer and paint them with the rust oleum flat black we use for black housing head lights, it's the only one i can get, here paint really sucks.
                Thanks Again!!!

whole mess of fail in this thread

SEM Paint is the best paint for an oem flat/glossy finish. People have used it to repaint dashes and it comes out looking exactly like OEM.

I use trim paint, but it doesnt have that little shine as SEM. Glossy paint just tiger stripes

When you guys go to paint, do you sand them down a little bit and use a auto prep, and did you guys use a primer first?

dont sand, it'll just leave scratches as the paint doesnt fill.

use wax cleaner, or something made for preppign surfaces by removing all oils from it. Then use an adhesion promoter and spray on the caots while it's still tacky.

I've HEARD that bulldog is a good product. Personally, I've had nothing but bad luck with it, so I don't bother.
I've had luck with just thoroughly cleaning the surface I'm painting.

Shoot, I was trying to find a picture of that SEM paint, but I couldn't remember the brand. That's what I used when I painted my side moldings, here.
