ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

did your rust eat into the trunk area? i have that wheel arch rust BUT it's bad enough that if i pull up the carpet and look down i can see light.

think those 40 dollar patch panels that places like TAS would fix that?

I almost ordered one from TAS Auto, but it was going to cost me $87 shipping at minimum for a $50 product. I bought one very similar for a local autoparts store for $120. We had some lighter guage metal that went behind the patch into the rotted spot behind it too, so its all sealed. It was peaking into my trunk though.

The bondo isn't very thick at all. Just enough to say its there. We had the metal almost bang on. My friend and I both just finished going to school for welding/fitting, so we had it pretty mint.

Right now I'm just using my factory paint code paint, clearcoat, rubbing compounds, and polishes.

The best part is that you can punch it and it is solid still.

that came out very good, I liuke seeing that.

The car I just bought has the outside redone, but the inner fenders, like between the wheel well and trunk and interior are all kinda chopped/ground out beacause they were rusty. So now I have to do that because all the road dust is getting in through the chassis, this is gonna be fun :P

I got my panels from NAPA ... with the shipping and exchange it was actually a bit less.

How long did that take start to finish?

                            That looks great....

Can you guys post any sources for new panels? Would you guys consider cutting out a panel from the JY if everything was in good condition?

I just got a '92 LX and it has almost the same exact spot but not as big.

                            Again, very nice job.
