Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

Mud flaps - Yeh or Neh?

    Mud flaps - Yeh or Neh?

    Car is in the process of being painted and such and I just wanted everyone's opinion. Should I keep the mud flaps on? ( I have front and rear mudflaps, no body kit, 1" lowered )

    They use to hit speed bumps with a 1" lowering kit and I'm about to go to a 2" lowering kit (2" front / 1.8" rear). Rain spraying up the side of the car and on my mirrors may be an issue without them also. So I'm not sure if I should just leave them off or not; your input is appreciated.

    You know, I've struggled with this same issue in the past. I finally went with no flaps. I suppose it just looks more clean with no flaps. But then again it flows nicely with flaps also. IDK, I say either way your good.

        JoshM, your mudflaps really stand out in your sig picture & your lowered. Do you hit them off speed bumps, etc?

        I've been viewing members rides all morning. Some you can't even tell they're on as they blend in to the ride. Others you can tell. Maybe I'll wait till i get some side skirts before removing them.

          i personally love having flaps on my car. When i bought it i only had fronts, so I went to a pull-a-part and dug for a set of rear flaps. Everyone has their own taste, but as far as opinions go, I think that you can't go wrong with them!!

            Yup, I scrape my front mudflaps on every single speedbump. lol
            But, they are very flexible and won't crack. Mine are starting to get "sanded down" because of them scraping.

              I like the front and rear flaps. Yes they do scrape from time to time. I say leave them on!

                    Just leave them on, once the car is drop if you do not like the scraping then remove them.
