ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    front fender removal

I'm trying to make my (eng/tranny-less) new CB look a bit better and have a donor car. well i tried to take of the front pass. fender last week on my day off and was nearly there till i realized there was still the bottom bolt. my question is whether or not i need to completely remove the side skirt to remove the bottom bolt of the fender.

Yep they beat me to it but that's what I normally do. Get a pry bar or something and hold it down and you can get straight in there. I'm late but glad you got it done.

                    1 effin bolt

So I bought my cb 2 years ago and for 2 years its had the same ugly beat up drivers side fender the only reason I havet taken it off and poped it back into shape is b/c there's 1 bolt in the front on the bottom of the fender this area had gotten slightly dented in so now the bolt is not reachable

No you don't need to remove the whole side skirt you can have some friends or family help you to pry it down so you can get a ratchet with an extension and a 10mm socket in there and get it off. I just replaced mine and i practiced on the other fender of the car I didn't need at a junkyard where i got the fender to make sure I wouldn't fuck my car up putting it back on. It just takes a little muscle but be careful to not do any permanent damage.

Is it the one bolt that looks it takes a phillips screwdriver if so then this should work,in inside of the engine bay there is a nut or a bolt,if you don't have the stock air box or battery in the way you can get to it and take the fender off that way.
