ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

The spoiler in question has 4 unique things that set it apart.

    1) It flares up
    2) It has no tails at either end of the spoiler like the OEM
    3) It has a aggressive hood area where the "H" emblem goes
    4) The edges are rounded off differently all around.

I've seen a e-bay seller sell fiberglass spoilers of the OEM CB and CD flushmounts. I don't remember his e-bay name, but you may be talking about him. Believe me this is not a mold copy of the original OEM spoiler.

    See the differences?

If the seller indeed used to OEM spoiler to create this spoiler frankenstein, then that answers alot of questions of how this spoiler appeared out of nowhere. I somehow doubt he designed this one though and it originated somewhere else. The skeleton is too unique to be a cheap aftermarket wing. Even Kaminari doesn't make wing skeletons like this.
i see your point, he must have had the company he used make modifications to spoiler I'm not a big fan of flushies hence the reason i sold mine but comparing your pics you have a good argument.

His email to be indeed stated that the flushy i sold him was used for the mold.

Do you happen to know the companies name that modified the mold for the flushmount? Thats awesome to hear it's origin and kinda depressing at the same time to know that this is just a madeup spoiler and not a mystery jdm copied part

The company must be a very good one. They obviously took a part and made it look like it could still be OEM. The skeleton is what trips me out and the "H" hood. It almost looks like it could be a mugen flushmount comparing it to other designs mugen made. It's probably a hybrid of your spoiler and a mugen from some Legend or Inspire

They should make carbon fiber trunks with this blended in already.

you know you cannot have both

and because it wouldnt be an actual flushy just an added on piece

Cool, I would like to know whether they fabbed this wing from using Mugen wings from different cars. The shape is screaming mugen for the flare and the "H" area.

It's quite remarkable they came up with a CB7 wing such as this...but overall it has nothing similar in shape or size to a oem flushmount if indeed they used one to fab this particular spoiler.

A flushmount built into the rear trunk I think would look awfully weird for a cb7 in my opinion. I think it looks good as 2 separate pieces.

I think it would give the CB7 a odd shape and would look something like a wannabe M6 trunk.

Once you mount a flushmount to the car, it looks airtight seamless to the trunk anyways.

I don't think alot of people would not even go through with buying a carbon trunk with one molded on if a group buy were to happen. Didn't AccordSiR try to start one like 2years back? That fell through a deep crack in the ground!

There are carbon trunks readily available and look how many people on the board have them.... They tend to be 150-200 more than a hood just because they are different. Any Carbon shop i doubt they will get alot of buyers for one offs with a wing molded in. The average oem trunk with shipping unless u have a hookup from a dealer will net you at least $600-$700 once they throw on tax and the 100-150 shipping cost. What makes it worse for cb7tuners is that our cars are rarely worked on in the scene so that makes the demand less and causes them to either be too expensive or the company stops production. Example JSP which made the best looking trunk in my opinion.

ok, finally got a response to my email. The cf flushie in question was made using the oem cb flushie as the mold but the design was modified due the legality. He told me that they did use a mugen flushie from "another" car(honda) to assist in the modified design so the cf flushies is indeed a oem and mugen flushie hybrid but not using a cb mugen part
