ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

If its a stock shiftknob, then it unscrews. I had an aftermarket shiftknob for a while that had a plastic piece that screwed on then it used allen head screws to secure the knob on. I recently took that crap off which lowered my know a good inch or so. As for the steering wheel with the airbag, im not sure how to take the wheel off, and i dont believe aftermarket steering wheels are available for our accords with airbags...

I believe IF its a stock boot on the knob, somehow the boot unclips from the shifter knob. Now, grab the shifter knob itself and turn it to the left (UNscrew it). It may be a little tough at first but its threaded on. And im really not sure if we can put anykind of steering wheel on our accords that have airbags, the whole proccess is a mystery to me, I do have an aftermarket wheel on my accord, its 13" (alot smaller), but i dont have airbags. And i wanted to keep my cruise control so i extended the wires down to the bottum of my seat and wired/drilled some small holes for some little cruise buttons, (they look like little red NOS buttons that r on tuner steering wheels ecxept 3X smaller). No one would know i had cruise unless i showed them... (sleeper cruise).

And the knob unscrews from the top.

Not on the airbag equipped models.

I believe the steering wheel hub can be accessed by removing the airbag. I would disable the SRS system and let it discharge (power, not the airbag) for a little while after you disconnect it. You don't want it hitting you in the face while you're trying to remove it!
Keep in mind, removing the airbag from an airbag-equipped car is technically illegal. If your state has inspections, then you should hold onto it, and know how to hook it back up. If you don't have inspections for that sort of thing, then don't worry about it. I'm not a huge fan of airbags myself, so I won't harp on the safety issue. I've known them to do more harm than good, actually.

And the shift knob... pull down on the upper part of the boot, where it attaches to the collar. That is clipped onto the knob. The whole collar should slide down, and you can just unscrew the knob normally. There's really no trick to it, though you'll probably end up with bruised pinkies.

Yeah for the shift knob, just grip the boot where the knob meets the boot and pull down and it will unclip from the knob; then you just unscrew the knob to the left.
