ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

INT: cb7 90 model. help wit interior

hey guys. jus joined the forum!! tried to look for a d.i.y. for removing the interior. and no luck . i got a really good deal on my cb7 it has 135 kms on original motor!! car was in storage for 10 years!!. with that said i would really take good care of it. i need advice on how to change the burgundy interior to black. any help is much appreciated thanks for reading.

Taking the interior apart is actually pretty easy. You're lucky, I love that Seattle Silver/Burgandy interior combination.

But you want to turn it to black. There's various nuts/bolts/clips that hold different panels on. 4 Big bolts for the front seats, clips for most everything else. There are a few screws in each of the door panels, they're covered by little...covers. Hah. You can just pull out the entire rear seat. ABC pillars all held in by clips.

As far as changing the color, try either spray painting or dying the plastic. I would go the dying route. From what I've seen, it typically looks better once its finished, but I've never seen a re - spray painted or re - dyed interior. So who knows, it's really up to what you want to do. Spraying or dying, they both change the color.

Anyway Ting, welcome to CB7 tuner. Post up some pictures of your car, and get ready for a long stay. Any question you could think of has more than likely answered on this site, so use that search button! Good luck with the car

Of course man, we all start at some place!

Yeah...there are some threads in the interior section I'm sure. A few guys have done it before, and its looked like stock. That's for the plastic parts, I mean.

Now...dying the carpet/seats...that'll be more involved, but can be done!

The dash will be your biggest obstacle I'd say.

Yeah I agree with npor! I drive a '90 sedan with same interior and the dash is the reason I wouldn't swap the black interior in my sedan!

But it IS a pain in the ass to remove, then changing the color of it I'd imagine would be a lot more involved than changing the color to an a pillar!

With that being said...if I were doing it, I would just swap an original black dash in, then recolor everything myself.
