ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

kyb gr2's are great struts but are OEM replacement struts. Many people still use them with lowering springs and say they are fine. I just am not sure of how long they will last. I do not recomend using them with a spring like the neuspeed race. Of the 2 struts you mentioned, I would say the tokico HP blues would be a better choice, but Ive read that those are also OEM replacement, however if you use them with a mild drop spring, they should be great. If want a more if you serious setup, something like KYB AGX's, tokico illuminas or Koni yellows would be excellent. They are all adjustable and the yellows are said to be the ultimate. They would be excellent paired with the neuspeed race springs that you mentioned. Only thing about the agx's is that they will keep your car sitting a little higher than if you were to use a different strut setup. Hope this helps a little!

i bought tokicos and wish i would have got something better.. they are ok and are a slight upgrade, but not adjustable and dont seem to be very stiff.. i really wish i had spent the little bit of money and got something better! but thats just my opinion.. hope it helps.

Neuspeed Race or H&R Race springs, you won't be disappointed.
Konigstiger has an AGX strut mated with Neuspeed Race springs , it rides like a dream.

i just purchased bilsteins for under four hundred to my door, i ordered them as well as hr sports for the girlfriends accord a few months back and the ride is superb, perfect height looks good but does not grind at all and turns on a dime. ebay is your friend.

I have the sportlines, it handles like a go-kart basically. You turn it goes where you want it to. I have frt and rr sway bars as well, but anyways the thing stays glued to the road. I have thorwn my CB into some serious turn and have not been dissapointed. The ride is good to me, but I guess I'm used to it. Some my not like it though due to the bouncyness on some roads.

Yes do not get Tokico blues or Kyb gr-2's, as they are both stock replacements and will blow out, it is only a matter of time. Like you said go with the AGX's if you are on a budget, or Koni yellows/Tokico Illuminas if you want to upgrade even more. And sportlines are a great spring with a nice drop for a daily yet with performance in mind as well. I think neuspeed races are a bit harsh and low for a daily spring setup to most people from what I have heard.

Oh and like someone else said already, bilsteins are another great shock for the money. Not to mention you can buy rebuild kits for cheap and rebuild them yourself!!!

it depends how much you want to spend.. everyone swears by the koni yellows, if thats in your price range.. i personally have the gr2s and they are fine. i also used eibach sportline springs. very smooth ride.. all together with shocks and springs i spent $500, i also needed a front camber kit.
