Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    Subaru hood scoop

    Well as some of you know me I am boosting my black car with an H23!
    I would like some opinions as I can not make up my mind.

    This is a Subaru Hood Scoop knockoff.
    It is just sittin on the hood, not installed yet.
    To hood scoop or not!

    Is it functional yet? I don't like it thought looks way out of place, but if it's functional then it's ok.

        i wouldn't do it. Im looking at an 84 turbo 300zx and plan on taking the scoop off. don't like the look.


        Cowl hoods on muscle cars are pretty awesome though.

            ya I hear ya...the funny part is the knockoff is of a 2.5rs

              I don't even like the subie scoop on a subie. It's nowhere near your air filter, you don't have an FMIC (as stated), at best it's going to cool down the firewall while you're on the freeway. Leave it off. If you just have to poke a hole in the hood, do a low flat (<2 inches tall) scoop over the air filter. Personally, I'd leave it alone altogether.

                      yah well I decided against the hood scoop!

                      yah really didnt flow, I thought it would better but I was wrong.
                      I know several other people was curious about it thats why I posted.

                      well it wasn't a total loss....hehe got a snorkel (roof scoop) pic outta it!
