ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

yes wiring harness is a must, or you can sit and extend your own.

id say the oem wiring harness for rhd would be best bet.

also do you plan on doing this yourself?

you need to contact me anyways! ohio...pshh.

i'd like to do as much as possible myself. i have a few connections with people that can do body work and welding. the more i can do without paying someone else to do it makes it more special. too many plans, so little time.

I, like Racer_XXX would rather do as much myself as possible, i dont trust anyone else to work on my car, because if something wer to go wrong, it would be alot easier to find where stuff is(as in wiring), plus body work isnt all that hard at all for me, and im pretty good at welding

Well if you get a RHD half cut, It should come with everything you need, wiring harness included. 626_cb7 had a half-cut with doors too and he still had to merge the JDM dash harness with the US body harness, so you will still need wiring skills and diagrams.

Wiring won't be an issue, thats the fun part, i had to rewire the H22 in my 93. The whole project would be a learning experience. I've got a few other things i'd like to finish before tackling this project.

                  welding????

there should be nothing at all that needs to be welded for a proper swap.

please dont tell me you were planning on cutting your car in half???

how else do you plan to get the RHD firewall in? 626 welded his in, everyone in the history of RHD conversions has welded in the firewall, or the front half(hopefully the firewall lol), even if you drill all the spot welds youll have to reweld em up

Ummmm you're not serious are you? You have to cut out your LHD firewall and weld in the RHD firewall from the half-cut.

Could i just use J.B.Weld and some duct tape?

As long as you don't exceed 200mph, duct tape should be fine. I don't think it's rated above that. But I'm pretty certain that J.B. Weld is only for repairing broken rods or to help clean injectors. Just smear some around the tip of the injector and voila'!! Good as new...

What??? They call it "200 mph tape" for a reason. Cause you ain't supposed to go over 200 mph with it holdin' your shit together. Duh.

Some people just don't have any common sense at all....
