ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

quickest way... sandblasting.. but u can always just get a really rough sander paper almost like rocks is how i describe it lol.. and once you get the paint off than use a a finer frit to make sure its all off than use a really fine grit to smooth and removes scratches from bigger grits
You don't have to like what he did, but I would hope that you can appreciate the time, money and love that went in to the build. If you can't, you're not really an enthusiast, just another dumb kid with a car.-visualpoet

hello fellow Edmontonian. Canadian Member List

if you are getting a shop to paint them, then you don't really need to do anything, I am pretty sure they can take care of the sanding.

if you are doing it yourself...pick up a sanding kit from Canadian Tire. They come with several grits of sandpaper-course to fine. I think you start sanding with course and then go to fine.

I would think you should pick a random orbital sander; 29.99 @ Canadian Tire.

just my opinion, i'm not an expert, but i wouldn't use coarse sandpaper, seems like you'd just be making more work for yourself as i'm pretty sure you don't have to take the paint down to metal to repaint the parts!

as was said above, if a shop is doing it i'd leave em alone!

40 and 60 grit have the "rocks" on em and then the smoother would be 400,600,1000,2000

You don't need to take the paint right off in order to repaint.
You just need to remove the edges of the stone chips, and scuff the paint.
Btw don't use the sandpaper thats "Like rocks", you will only end up putting deep scratches in the plastic bumper, thus creating more work for yourself.

Get some 120 - 150g sand paper and scuff the old paint. (you only need to take the shine off the paint, so the primer will stick)
Primer the bumper, then wetsand with 400-800grit, till the primer is smooth.
                Then lay your paint on
