ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

so i might as well get it! but ALOT of people say they have used theirs for years and never any problems and some people say that if you don't use the wiring hardness sometimes one won't come on or something.

You may want to consider the type of housing you have aswell. If you have an OEM reflective housing, you would want to go with a D2R bulb as opposed to a D2S bulb. The D2R's have a strip on em which reduces glare in reflective housings, which in turn doesn't bother other drives as much, just in case you wanna be considerate lol.
D2S bulbs are MEANT for projectors, but even i ran them in my stock lights before i did my retro. The cut-off will take care of the glare.
imo, if you can, read up on a tsx retro, requires a bit of work and money, but the outcome is worth it.
In terms of kits, im using a Beamers HID kit i purchased locally at a car show for 180, its lasted me over 2 years so far. As far as ebay kits or an other kits go, your biggest worry will be the ballast. I know a few people rolling around with ebay kits with waay more hours than my setup, and they're still fine.
Edit: And with the story about the wires catching fire, you will be fine with a full kit as the stock plug acts as a switch to fire the ballast, which receives the majority of its power from the 12v connection to the battery.Last edited by g$up; 11-27-2008, 08:24 PM.
