ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

anyone ever have problems with cold air intakes??? any personal experince would be great to know about...

One major problem with a CAI is if your intake sucks in some water, other than that I haven't heard of too many issues

It happened to a friend of mine with his Civic.
          He had stock suspension, too.

                      whistles.

it was the first performance mod I ever did.

I should have did cleaning first haha

Just be aware you will need to cut and bend a piece of your engine bay to run the piping and deal with the ABS mechanics getting in the way if you're 92-93.

Ebay ones are fine, in the end it's all just piping. The filter is the most imporant part of an intake, I'd buy an ebay intake and buy a k&n air filter. I'd get the one that needs reoiling as to keep water out. If you live in a rainy state I highly suggest getting the aem bypass valve as it'll keep you from hydrolocking if you're fording water.

I had a two piece cold air intake, (ebay brand which by the way sucked) and every time it was raining, or if i thought it might, i would pop the hood and disconect the the lower portion of the intake and put a spare filter on the top portion making it a short ram. and wa la you dont have to worry about puddles any more. After a while i just kept it a short ram lol.

i honestly wouldnt be worried about hydrolock
                              especially in auburn
we dont get that much rain

and as long as you dont try to be cool and drive through huge puddles you will be fine
