ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.
2 of 2 < >

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

How about taking a picture like a normal person... Like one that's not 2x3 and from 50 feet away?

If you copy this text below it will post your pic.

I've seen some rattle cans jobs that looked perfect. A guy told me the best way t do it, if you have to do it, is do a couple more coats than necessary, let it cure for a month or so, then hit the whole car with rubbing compound. If I hadn't seen his being done, I wouldn't have believed it was out of the can.

my god, you know exactly what i mean. i did two coats of each color and let it cure through the winter. and then did another two coats, then gloss and wet sand.

This is actually my plans for the little bit of rust on the rears. I'm going to knock it loose, wirebrush it, and then bondo or glas it, sand it, prime it, get some factory cap brown in the can and feather it in. once it's cured, rub it out, clear it and be happy with it. lol

wow 2 years. wheeeew. i worked on cars both body and engine in school for 5 years in high school and honda school in windsor lock conn. and another 3 years in a honda dealership. i currently own and run our garage called fearless racing inc. so maybe you should read the title that clearly says "SPRAY PAINTING" and take your smart ass remarks to a child that cares.

I've thought about it, but I don't even own a little stick welder. I'm just looking for a quick fix for a few years. The coupe has a couple dozen dings all over it from hail and parking lots, so I'm just doing a temp fix so it looks halfway decent until I find a less damaged body. If I get lucky in Vegas this January I plan on buying something rust free out there and driving it home!
Plus, the rust I have is mostly surface, less than 10 sq inches on one side, less than 6 sq on the other.
